The Turtle and Hare Learning Puzzle Race is the new app by Kids Clever & Co.
Great for pre-schoolers from 2-5 years. Choose from one of four cuddly characters and go on an challenge to complete 12 richly animated learning puzzles that entertain while developing a child’s learning capabilities.
When it comes to a child's learning I want to make sure the apps I choose for them, will “reward” for time well spent. I want to be sure that a child’s development is stimulated and they acquire a sense of achievement while at play. Without challenging them too much - their playtime at some point should test their capacities - not everything should be laid straight out in front of them. Learning Puzzle Race does just this - a great balance of play, development, challenge and learning. The app includes puzzles for developing motor skills - tilting, swiping and shaking - colours and sound - distinction challenges, counting, memory and problem solving.

The app is free to download and with that you get three free puzzles including Grow Your Carrots, Hide and Seek and Catch-a-Frog puzzles. The remaining 9 apps are available as in app purchases - $2.99 to unlock all the puzzle - not bad value for the overall rich experience.
Grow Your Carrots is a puzzle that prompts the child to sow seeds, water them, watch them grow and then harvest them a process that requires their interaction at every step. Hide and Seek is a memory game that proms the child to remember which mushroom a ladybird has hidden behind, after they have shuffled places. Catch a frog prompts users to catch five frogs in a lily pond as they bob up and down in the water, counting as you go.
Musical vine is a wonderful puzzle that has the child create music as they catch fruit moving up and down a moving vine. Catch a butterfly has the child catching 12 coloured butterflies - calling the colours out as they are caught. Catch an orange has the child shaking the device to dislodge 12 oranges from a tree.
While their are plenty of apps out there for pre-schoolers, few balance rich animation, learning and fun quite as well. Well done Kids Clever & Co. for getting a good quality app out there to parents.
